Selama ini, kita mengenal mentimun hanya untuk sayuran dan pelengkap makanan saja. Tapi, tidak begitu dengan Sayyidah Aisyah. Beliau memakai mentimun sebagai salah satu bahan dari sayuran untuk menjaga kesehatannya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beliau memanfaatkan mentimun untuk menjaga stamina dan bentuk tubuhnya. Biasanya, ia mengkombinasikan mentimun dengan kurma basah. Dalam sebuah hadis disebutkan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artinya: Dari Abdullah bin Ja\u2019far berkata: dulu \u201dDulu Nabi Saw. makan mentimun kurma basah.\u201d (HR. Tirmidzi).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al-Qurthubi <\/a><\/strong>menyatakan bahwa faedah yang bisa diambil dari hadis di atas adalah sesuai dengan kaidah ilmu kedokteran. Kita boleh meneliti kandungan gizi makanan dan menggunakannya sesuai dengan tabi\u2019at dan sifatnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mentimun punya kandungan dingin dan dalam kurma basah ada kandungan panas. Maka, apabila keduanya dimakan bersama dan dipadukan, keduanya akan menyempurnakan satu sama lain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ini merupakan kaidah besar dalam pembuatan komposisi obat. Salah satu manfaat memakan perpaduan mentimun dengan kurma basah adalah menggemukkan badan dan menyehatkan badan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selain berguna untuk menjaga kesehatan, kombinasi kurma dan mentimun juga berkhasiat untuk meningkatkan berat badan dan mengubah bentuk tubuh yang semula kurus ceking menjadi lebih berisi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dalam sebuah riwayat disebutkan bahwa saat Sayyidah Aisyah hendak dipertemukan dengan Rasulullah, beliau rutin mengonsumsi mentimun dan kurma basah untuk mendapatkan tubuh yang ideal. Sebab saat itu tubuhnya kecil dan kurus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aisyah berkata, \u201cIbuku mengobatiku agar aku kelihatan gemuk, saat dia hendak mempertemukan aku dengan Rasulullah, dan usaha itu tidak membuahkan hasil sehingga aku memakan timun dengan kurma basah. Kemudian aku menjadi gemuk dengan bentuk yang ideal.\u201d (HR. Ibnu Majah<\/a><\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selanjutnya, dalam ilmu pengobatan Islam,\nsayur mentimun yang memiliki nama ilmiah cucumis sativus ini dikenal dengan\nnama qitsa\u2019 atau khiyar. Allah Swt menyebut sayuran ini dalam surat al-Baqarah\nayat 61:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artinya: \u201cDan (ingatlah), ketika kamu berkata: \u201cHai Musa, kami tidak bisa sabar (tahan) dengan satu macam makanan saja. Sebab itu mohonkanlah untuk kami kepada Tuhanmu, agar Dia mengeluarkan bagi kami dari apa yang ditumbuhkan bumi, yaitu sayur-mayurnya, ketimunnya, bawang putihnya, kacang adasnya, dan bawang merahnya\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alam telah memberikan manfaat bagi umat\nmanusia. Salah satunya adalah dengan menyediakan timun dan kurma yang memiliki\nbanyak manfaat. Memiliki tubuh ideal tak hanya bisa diwujudkan dengan membuat\nvariasi pada makanan saja. Lebih dari itu, tubuh yang ideal juga mesti\ndiimbangi dengan olahraga teratur dan pikiran yang sehat pula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
